Offlined

Two and a half weeks have passed like a breeze. Even though I’m in Bali I’ve hardly seen any part of it except the neighbourhood where the homestay and the office is. Well, I went to Tanah Lot last week. It was interesting, but otherwise alright. I find no big amusement in wearing the shoes of a tourist.

The office is where everything happens. The people here in the office are very motivated, and since most of these people are way more experienced than me, I find myself asking them many many questions. I think this is a great place for learning and venturing the unknowns of computer science. As long as I dare to keep learning and exploring, I will find myself a place here in the GMSI family.

Of course, there are times (already!) when I just want to pack up and go back to Jakarta, especially during weekends. I’ve managed to calm myself down by reading books and reflecting upon the life that I had, and wondering about the “road” that’s in front of me (well, in practice that road is more like unbeaten bush).

I have managed to slip in a few great routines, like daily exercising and thought-logging (not blogging, but still, it’s about time I start keeping a record of my thoughts). But I know there is still much room to improve.

So without further ado, let me step into my weekend, after having been in the office for 12 hours.
